How does it work?

The way it works is very simple, yet very cleverly too. Take a look at this video and read more below.

As seen in the video with our functional prototype, you fill the mug with your favorite hot beverage and then put the lid on just like a regular mug or tumbler.

There is a real difference and a big advantage when you don’t need to wait for the entire content of a mug to cool before drinking it, as done by the vertiGO mug.

Push the side button (trigger) in and the pressure of the air will force the liquid to take the shortest way to exit to maintain a balanced pressure in the mug. Each pump pressure pushes a sip into the straw to the cooling zone on the lid.

Simply wait for that sip to cool down to the desired temperature and drink. This operation takes approximately 10 seconds depending of the liquid and ambient air temperatures and might take up to 60 seconds if the liquid is boiling.

With the sealed lid and the double wall, the hot beverage stays hot until pushed on the lid.

To clean, remove the lid, place the two parts in the dishwasher and put straw in ustensils compartment.
